  1. Statewide

For a leading defense industry provider, we successfully secured support for full funding from all six of our initial high-profile targets. We developed and employed a wide array of grasstops strategies, including obtaining letters in support of full federal funding from top-tier elected officials, community and business leaders throughout New York State, which were then submitted to federal officials or published as op-eds or letters to the editor. Highlights of this year-long initiative including securing a unanimous resolution from the Onondaga County Legislature and a joint letter signed by all eighteen members of the Suffolk County Legislature in support of our client’s efforts. We also produced a media event where a member of Congress (and tier 1) announced their full support. The event was well attended and, more importantly, well-covered by the media.

  2. New York City

For a Fortune 150 retailer under the threat of a hostile takeover, we developed a broad-based coalition of elected officials and religious, community and business leaders in New York to help increase their profile. We also identified leaders to speak out in support of the retailer.

  3. Statewide

For a broad-based educational coalition, we developed and secured over 75 letters from significant educational leaders throughout New York State, in support of an effort to prevent legislation that could have potentially hindered student’s access to federal aid for higher education.

  4. New York State’s Marcellus Shale Region

For a major trade association, in just three weeks, we developed a field outreach plan that included arranging media coverage, identifying speakers, securing written testimony and ensuring large organizational support for hydrofracking at three separate public hearings hosted by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation across the Southern tier of New York. Our field team successfully recruited the attendance of over 1,000 people and secured testimony from over 150 individuals and 60 speakers. In addition, we coordinated the logistics of the events, including the staffing of three staging areas, catering and transportation and media availabilities.

  5. Long Island

For the nation’s largest and pre-eminent business association, we organized and planned an outreach program across Long Island to secure support for free trade. Through our efforts, we were able to secure support for free trade from our three leading Congressional targets.
