Julie Greenberg: Senior Vice-President

Julie Greenberg offers our clients a wealth of knowledge and expertise as a government and public affairs specialist. With nearly two decades of experience, Julie started as a Legislative Analyst with the New York State Assembly Speaker’s office, served as Chief of Staff to Assemblymember Scott Stringer, and was a political director for the 2002 McCall/Mehiel gubernatorial campaign. Following her work in government and politics, Julie joined Kasirer Consulting and now serves as Senior Vice-President for the firm.

As Chief of Staff for former Assemblyman, and current Manhattan Borough President Stringer, Julie was responsible for creating and supervising a legislative, communications, and media relations strategy. Her expertise included researching and analyzing legislative matters, drafting and placement of news articles including press releases, letters to the editor, and op-eds. In her other governmental and political capacities, Julie developed an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of both City and State government. Her understanding of procedure, policy and familiarity with those empowered to make decisions, gives Julie a unique niche that she uses to the benefit of our clients every day.

As Kasirer Consulting’s Senior Vice-President, Julie is involved in the daily operations of the firm and manages some of its most complex assignments. Her responsibilities include liaison to local community boards, Borough Presidents’ offices, New York State Assembly and Senate members, New York City Councilmembers and staff, and New York’s federal representatives.

Julie specializes in government regulatory and administrative procedures affecting real estate businesses and representation of not-for-profit organizations. Julie has successfully worked on environmental, zoning, appeals, ULURP, Building Code, and tax issues on behalf of our real estate clients. The not-for-profit organizations we represent benefit from Julie’s experience with the rules and regulations governing capital and expense funding and the role of non-profits in the public arena.

Julie is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany with a Master’s Degree in Political Science and lives in Manhattan’s East Village.
